This is Aaron here…..I just called the hospital at 8:00 this evening and Helena is doing well. They are increasing her fluid intake and are giving her some blood plasma. We were assured that these are all normal things for a baby just a few hours out of open-heart surgery. Tomorrow we will go to the hospital at around 9:00 or so. Helena is still very critical and has a long road ahead, but we are all breathing a little easier. I want to thank all of you for your kind words, prayers and support. These are the things that continue to give us energy each and every day. Thank you for everything that you continue to do for us. God bless and we will say more soon!

Helena is surrounded by love and it sounds like she is getting some great medical care. Mama, Papa and Baby Sufo - you have all been on our hearts and in our prayers. Big hugs and much love, Anthony and Cynthia.

Aaron and Mary, your daughter Helena is beautiful -- congratulations!!! We are holding all of you in prayer over here at the seminary, and we are grateful to have this blog to keep up with how things are going. On a more personal note, I hope that the thundering herd of cats upstairs is not keeping you awake at night. I'll try to get them to run more softly. Grace and peace (and hugs) from your upstairs neighbor.

Aaron, Mary and Helena,
We and the people of Joy Lutheran Church continue to pray that God's comforting presence strengthen you all in this most difficult time. (Helena was added to Joy's prayer list this past Sunday, so there are Lutherans in Tulsa, Oklahoma praying for "y'all"!) We are overjoyed to hear Helena's surgery went well, and we will continue to remember you in prayer for the weeks and months ahead. Thanks be to God for the miracles of medicine and the miracle that is and always will be Helena Katharine!
Peace and Love in Christ,
Nathan and Laura Allen
