Hello World, Here I come! Helena is doing really well, so well we don't trust her at all! Today, Helena's outside oxygen was decreased to 30% (we breathe 21% oxygen, so it is not much more than what we get), they increased her food intake and we were able to hold her for the first time since before her surgery! Mary held her for about three hours and I held her for another 3 after work. They will continue to increase Helena's food intake and keep unplugging all of her lines. We are so excited at how well she is doing!

Helena sure knows how to perform for the camera... I wonder where she gets that from? Thank God for her incredible recovery!

(with all her progress and getting stuff removed it's like she's like that MTV show unplugged, except instead of the Cure unplugged it's helena unplugged--I guess it was funnier when I thought it... ;)

What a delightful picture! So alert for 2 weeks old! I think this picture says it all on how well she has progressed. We'll keep our fingers crossed, and keep the prayers going for Helena and her Mom and Dad.

Mary and Aaron, It has been a long time but there is just something about the common bond of Christ that makes it seem so easy to say Hey and not feel so bad about it being such a long time since the last Hey! I'm thinking of you or should I say crying over the laptop at the moment. Being a new parent and expecting the next in a very short amount of time makes my heart ache for you. Sad, painful ache when I see stitches on a little chest and a swelling of my heart with joy to see those beautiful eyes looking back at me on the screen. She is perfect! I will be thinking of you and you all will be in my prayers. All our love,Johanna Worley

A Friend of ours said this of becoming a first time parent after 11 yrs of marriage. "I didn't know how much I missed you until you arrived." How true it is.......

Helena,
We are thrilled to see your smiling face (you're beautiful!) and to hear about how well you are recovering. Keep up the good work girl!

You and your parents continue to be in our thoughts and prayers as we pray for your well being. It will be a glorious day when you get to come home with your parents and are united as a family.

We love you all and cannot wait to meet you!

Helena, you are beautiful. We have your pics on the cabinet in the office so everyone can see how much you look like mommy. Everyone at St. John's loves you already. Make sure to take care of mommy and daddy. Linda
